Well thought it would be a good idea to see how the headers and muffler line up.
WTF! Due to a slight miscalculation my muffler is about .5" away from my oil cooler. Damn thing looked great on AutoCAD. Now I know why builders hate archtiects. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) So I can insulate the pipe there and hope for the best. Jake always says "try it and see if it works man" Or I can move these coolers over before I start plumbing with all these AN lines. Also, I was shocked to see how tight it gets under the car towards the right front of the engine bay. The headers are right there, where I was going to put my oil lines. Glad I checked this thing out. I think. dr Attached image(s) |

The only way to get heat transfer from the oil coolers is to have the cooler environment cooler than the oil. If the muffler or heat exchangers are too close to the coolers then either radiated heat or convected heat could cause the coolers to be ineffective. You may have to duct cool air into the coolers to make them work.
