i finally got my buddy's '72 914 back from the dead beat mechanic's and neeed the accelerator pedal linkage. I can see a female ball socket coming from the firewall, so is it safe to assume only 1 or 2 pieces of linkage are missing? I think all this car needs is fresh gas and that linkage to get it going. The engine compartment hinge is busted, is welding my only option? Thanks in advance for all your help and suggestions.
