I worked on the tranny article this morning (Too much coffee, had to do something!). Fixed spelling & grammer errors, fixed a couple of mis-labled things, changed the words a bit in areas...
Take a look. http://home.san.rr.com/pb914/rebuild/ I'm going to start writing a companion to it which covers the rest of the rebuild - the oil seals, etc. Next is rebuilding a 915 and then the VW air cooled trannies.... PDF version http://home.san.rr.com/pb914/full_on_synch...chro_change.pdf Format is closer to the original document. Now.. if we could get your email to work on a regular basis..I would be ok.
How would you feel about 914world.com web space and a 914club email address ?? Seriously. The board bounces more than half your emails (your the only one bouncing). Your article is great..and works well for people. Think about my offer.. we can put it on the "914info page". B |

Great, now you write an article on how to replace the seals after I have done it! Wasn't too hard to do anyway. I used your article to fix my spare tranny and it works great now. It would be nice to have the article in the info part of the site. I would like to see more on the different gears and ratios too.

Strange that e-mail would bounce from an account on my primary server.
I switched it to one I use a lot. Let's see if things improve. James |
