That is one of several cars I have seen with the ear sway bar inside the trunk. That lets you mount a larger one if necessary with adjuctable drop links to tune the rear better than the stock bar, but that one looks like a stock bar?

yes, stock bar ... they didn't mount it in the trunk for adjusteability but rather because the stoock bar will bottom out on the underside of the trunk floor if the car is lowered too much. that's why they relocated them into the trunk ... nice car! Hi Jörg, René is well known in the German 914 scenery ... at least as a racer (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) |

Where are you getting the idea that this has a IMSA GTU history?
Looks like a street car to me. Paul |

simply by reading the auction description (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) As far as I remember the sales description (about half a year ago) said, that this car was delivered to the USA in 1971 as a standard 914-6, then got converted to a IMSA-GTU race car. When it came back to Europe (early '90ies) it got restored to it's current condition. I was told that it looked somehow like this one when it stayed in the states: Attached image(s) |

Sie bieten auf einen restaurieren Porsche 914-6 GT(IMSA-GTU)
Now I see it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) I don't think IMSA allowed the roof to be cut off like the picture. SCCA yes, IMSA no. Paul |
