Hi,
I am getting closer to installing the engine and trans. in my 73. Before I assemle everything I want to do as much as I can while everything is apart. I cleaned up the tranny today and am installing a new TO bearing and was wondering about replacing the tranny seals. There is a drive shaft oil seal and a "final drive flange shaft seal". (The small one behind the TO bearing and two larger ones inside where the inner cvjoints bolt on.) Should I change these seals out now that everything is out of the car or should I leave it. None of them are leaking that I can see but that doesn't mean they won't soon. So, to change or not to change. Dat be da question. What do you all think? If I wasn't such a lazy ass I'd just go ahead and do it but I thought I'd get some opinions.
So, change em (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) or forget it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pissoff.gif) ?
Cheers, Elliot
