Of course, been around for a while. Several already doing track days and such up here in the northeast. Clever package, based off the Subie drivetrain. Likely my next kit build.

20k sounds like a hell of a value
If they put a type 4 with carbs in there .or a /6 with carbs. Id jump on it Why dont they use a 911 style dash for gauges . The one this car has looks like its out of a ford Taurus |

It's a fiberglass kit car using a Subaru as a donor, you can mod it however you want.

The one this car has looks like its out of a ford Taurus All bad ideas. The kit is designed for one to buy a Subaru wrecked or not wrecked and use the suspension with brakes, engine and transmission along with other parts of the car. Not designed for an air cooled motor and you'd get 0 factory support for the install. Not designed for a Type 4 or a /6, buy a 904 kit for that. Has 0 relationship with any Porsche so no reason for the dash to look like a 911, especially since it can be used with the Subaru gauge cluster. |

Go into the Wiki mode:
818 was originally designed by Factory Five as a chassis and a donor based on the Subaru Impreza platform. Great Performance, in a donor package. they then teamed up with GRM (Grass Roots Motorsports. They held a design contest to body the car. The design of the roadster won and was made into the kit you see today. Lots have been built, a whole industry has sprung up in support of the community that builds these cars. They have since expanded the line to included race and street version as well as a coupe. End Wiki 818 was made to handle and have power, I would say enjoy, go for it, but it is all Subaru power. Subaru makes a pretty nice product. My son in-law has a 2016 WRX STI and every now and again I get the keys. Last time that happened was last Tuesday. Turn knob in center console to S# and go and enjoy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Puts a huge smile on my face (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Beauty of the 818 or even 914 with Subaru power is, you get the same level of thrill, with out all the confidence boosting AWD, and other electronic nannies getting in the way. Something really nice about hitting the go pedal and just laying it into a drift with out using the Ford Focus RS drift button. In reality you get even more of a thrill, as you have removed the safety nets, and your doing this like a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) You only die once, might as well make it a great story! Donor
engine, trans, gauges, wringing, stripped down, drive shafts, cooling system, suspension bits, nuts bolts, lots of parts...... Of course you can go crazy and pick the best out of all combinations but nobody would ever in their right mind do that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) But then this answers the question better than I can. |

using the Ford Focus RS drift button (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) Is this a for real thing , wtf Yes newest Ford Focus RS comes with a drift mode. Life is too funny to make (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) up. You press this button to change drivers modes. You know the normal stuff, street, sport, sport#, track only. In the case of the focus this shows up in the center information display. Attached image(s) |

I always thought to drift , or lose traction and feed in opposite lock You would want a rwd only car And yeh a boxster could check all the same boxes But 6 cyclinder p-cars are way to maintenance ($$$) Intensive for me . |
