I think I missed the boat with the Euromeister fuch look a likes. Looks like Pelican has my 17x7" but not any 17x9". I'm not sure what happened with Automotion, as their website redirects to a weird site. Is there a place where we can still buy these?

It looks like Ecklers sold Automotion to Rose Passion - a company based in France.
I know nothing about them, but maybe some of our Euro members might know. IMHO - it was extremely unfortunate that Ecklers bought out a long standing & respected SoCal USA Porsche parts house like Automotion/Performance Products, then proceeded to get rid of any employees who knew anything about Porsches, fully gut & destroy the company, then sell off the remnants to this Rose Passion group! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It was just Corporate Raider (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) BS!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) As for your wheels - probably a google would turn up any companies selling those particular wheels, then you can try by size & price. Also ask if Pelican can special order one for you. Good Luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Tom /////// |

That's an XXR wheel on an Evo in Illinois. The car was hit head on on the RH side and completely destroyed the car and the wheel.

Hi Chris, much love and respect with your build thread. Since we are doing a very similar builds (mine has nicer metal work) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) , why did you decide to jump ship and abort with the euromeister rims?
I screwed up and posted the wrong euromeister pic, it was in the same folder with other pictures. However, the reason I saved it was because the pic was in a different forum titled as "cheap cast rims". |

It's looking more and more likely that I'll be taking my build in a "slightly" different direction and for what I'm thinking, the 17s weren't the best choice. The Euromeisters are really nice wheels and if I could get them in the size and offset I plan on, I'd certainly have them on the short list. |

With more googling, it appears that Euromeister is NLA in the US. I think you may find some from online stores, but the selection isn't the best as they are getting rid of their inventory.
I think I found the maker in China, it's amazing they can sell these at 30 some dollars each and still make a profit |

"60 Piece/Pieces"? Does that mean you have to buy 60 of them to get the $35-40 price? Weird.

Also double that for shipping and the 25% import tariff. Then add a paycheck and a cushion for lost/damaged and it's up to $200 retail. |

The biggest problem I have been reading with Euromeister is that some rims do not balance. Apparently there is some QA issue with the casting process in China where all rims pass despite being out of spec.
In a super long shot, but if we were to get 60 folks signed up for a group buy, and 10% of the rims from the group simply can't be balanced, what would be the recourse? I'm assuming this could of been the issue with Pelican and other suppliers were having as shipping stuff back to China is stupid expensive. |

Return to china for a credit on your next order? Do you trust the heat treating process in China? Think it's applied with consistentcy?

Lemme guess.. you need to go with 19x8's for your new configuration in the front? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

That would almost be worth doing a group buy to buy a bunch of wheels.

I'll look into it. Do note that that's FOB China so shipping and tariffs will increase the cost, but I'm curious as to what these will come in at. We do have the ability to handle distribution, just trying to see what these will actually cost. I could use a set (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So where there some problems with these wheels or a lot of problems. There was some reason why they stopped importing them. There’s got to be a lot of reviews one way or another.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I know my dad would be down for 2 sets of 17x10s |
