curious - is there a price/sales curve or chart anywhere showing how the 914-6 has appreciated over the last 10 yrs or so (since the great recession) - or simply a percentage one could apply ?
Excellence used to periodically publish 914 market value stories, but the last one i have is 2009 - likely a credible low point from which to begin OH !! - maybe found my answer: Hagerty Valuation - chart & details here https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools...!6?id=46730 Hagerty shows them "flat" until abt 2012 - then rising about 150% to present the question of "insurance value" vs "market sales" is a different issue - not clear what Hagerty uses to determine values does anyone have the sale price of this one? 2016 Bonham's http://www.artvalue.com/auctionresult--por...970-4824028.htm TIA only slightly related to this interesting thread on conversion values http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=337136 |

Larry -
Flat was considered good in the first few years of the great recession 2008-10 or 12, when many other classic cars went down, some fell off the cliff! IIRC Hagerty's LTV curve showed the same holding value for the 914/4s during that period, but the 911s SWB/LWB did drop some IIRC. Westfalia Vanagons also held their own then, & then started u again around 2010-12-ish - but Hagerty wasn't tracking them then. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Tom /////// |
