Yar - it's a Marcos Mantula.
Anyone seen any Marcoses (Marcai?) on this side of the pond? I had a ride in one once - it was fast as all get-out! Rover V8 power. Very smooth and excellent handling. |

Isn't Marcos Mantula the one that collected all those shoes?

The goofy fact about the Marcos is it's made of plywood. Not just body framing like the Morgan, but the actual chassis itself. It was designed by Frank Costin (brother of Mike Costin, the COS in Cosworth), an aerodynamicist. Indeed, one of the first aerodynamicists to work in the automotive field.
I'd be very surprised if there aren't a handful of Marcoses that haven't made their way over here. |

I think the more recent ones have a steel spaceframe chassis... The one I rode in certainly did.
There aren't any on ebay.... |
