Unfortunately Thunderhill is just too far for me. I mostly stick with Infineon and Laguna Seca. I might go down to Button Willow one of these days.

QUOTE(ConeDodger @ Aug 9 2007, 09:17 AM) QUOTE(grantsfo @ Aug 9 2007, 08:56 AM) Unfortunately Thunderhill is just too far for me. I mostly stick with Infineon and Laguna Seca. I might go down to Button Willow one of these days. Too far towards.... O REEE GONE??? Lets put it this way Laguna Seca is 45 minutes from my house, Infineon is 2 hours and T Hill is 5 hours. Its going to take a real special event to get me up to T Hill. Tow rig gas bill alone for T Hill is over $150 and I have to stay overnight which is another couple hundred. I'd rather pay more and run local as it actually works out to be more cost effective. Remember I just drove almost 8 hours to a freaking Hillclimb in Big Foot country, but that is a special event! |

lots of things to sort out, but we got down to a 2:02 flat during a clean run. the (green) car still needs some suspension fine-tuning but the engine is running strong and smooth.
we'll see how the rest of the weekend goes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) Andy |

well, it's fun working for a winning team ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) tom took 1st in his class at the sunday race! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) in fact, not just first, but he *destroyed* the competition. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) i don't have the official times yet, but 2nd and 3rd were well over 20 seconds behind! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/owned.gif) the heat was brutal. at least for someone like me who grew up in the snow. no major breakdowns. finally found that sweetspot in the suspension setup ...
