put in new headlights, H4s
replaced the bottom piece to the trunk latch (only to find the top piece is worn out too
and riveted in the door thresholds

hardly a list of monumental accomplishments... but after a rough day at work. it was good enough.

Rear shocks are DONE, new Bils there...

I have some used Koni Yellows, waiting to go on the front. I plan to do those and the ball joints soon.

I finally got a welder to fix the rust spots... just need to get off my ass and do it.

other "little things" on the to do list:
engman's rear trunk release kit to be installed
engine tin seals
new cables followed by installing the Shea-rebuilt pedal cluster
install the upper and lower dash, seats, console, backpad...

ok, tar and glue are up now, the pedal cluster is removed, it looks like doo-doo, so I'll be sending it to Eric this week probably... also, the ball joints DO need replacing, one is completely seperated, the other is very dry... so when I do the shocks(Bils all around thanks to James, who luckily had an extra pair of rears! smilie_pokal.gif ) I found more rust when grinding up sealant... in the passenger side firewall corner sad.gif

makin progress on the floorpan... removing tar, lookin for rust... gettin ready to paint

rust along the side brace, haven't decided how to proceed there, need to dig more before I decide...... the rest is in pretty good shape so far, except one seat hing is rusted away... the PO had welded the seat rail to the pan instead of finxing the hinge sad.gif

I also primered the metal dash... it's staying metal... a grey hammerite finish for the final...

so far this year:
I replaced the brakes with Eric Shea's rebuilt calipers,
replaced the altenator with a rebuilt one (and voltage regulator)
exorcised some of the electrical demons,
fixed the parking brake (though one cable still seems "too long"... further investigation is required.
invested in an optima battery

still to do before driving it...
I have a leak in the gas tank, I think it's the old return hose, but need to check it out... "FIXED" 4/17/05 but still needs testing...
I have found some rust under the jack post... nothing terrible, but needs to be fixed ASAP
the other side is much worse, jack post and triangular piece at the front are both bad...
I need to prep/paint the floorpan and then install sound dampener and carpet kit... so I can install the seats/backpad.
