Both campaigned in open road races, (Sliver State, Pony Express, La Carrera, Rally Acapulco).
I have been caretaker since 2005. I enjoy the car at PCA track events (instructor) and unsanctioned touring adventures.
Little else has changed - (with lots of and a few along the way).


Reinforced '73 tub, roll cage, steel factory flares, early doors & bumpers.
3.0 liter - CIS. Mostly stock, 9:3:1, Carillo rods, ported heads, racing header.
Turbo tie rods, RSR struts, Weltmeister adjustable anti-sway bars.
Bremtek calipers were replaced with SC's. (yellow Pagid pads for the track)
16 x 8 & 16 x 9 Canonica 007 wheels for the track. 225-50, 245-45 Proxys.
16 x 8 Fuchs on all 4 corners for the street with 225-50 Toyos.
Getty dash, GTS LeMans seat, limo tint and other bits of bling.
(custom Engman pedals, EMPI window cranks, Bell RX65 radar detector .......)

That is 5 1/2 lbs less than a set of steel light duty jacks. While these would not be my first choice for a bare metal restoration or engine swap, I am confident they will easily handle any road side repairs. Plus, they are a perfect match for the early 911 aluminum jack I carry. I did find this other cool style of aluminum racing jack stands. I am not sure what they weigh. All I need to know is that they cost $90 / pair.
