My Blog

Long time, lot's has changed, time for an update

Well, it is now almost a year later and the Chalon project has been sold/traded. I now have a 75 914 with a steel slant nose conversion, it is the factory white color now but after I get done welding in all the stiffening kits and doing what body work needs to be done, I will of course paint it YELLOW!, It came with a crate 350 motor half installed, I have removed that and I am building a 327 for it and will be running that with a modified transmission. I am hoping to have it done by around the end of summer if my schedule permits, so far it has not been very accommodating. I will update this more frequently now, or at least try as a secondary way of tracking my progress. I started a thread also in hopes it would give me motivation but the replies are not what I expected so it has not been much help. However, it too gives me a chance to track what I have done over time. We will see how it goes. Today I had to pull an engine out of someone elses car to ship across the country and then went to work at the port to check in but did not get dispatched. So it looks like I will be working the day shift tomorrow for sure which means I will get nothing done on my car this weekend. I probably wont work again till mid week so on Monday afternoon I can come home and work on my car and see if I can get some of the welding done and start pulling dents out. Here are some pics of what I have done so far.
