My Blog

Spent yesterday working on a few cars. Mostly the whitesoontobeyellow car. Replaced the shifter bushings and found the rear one on the transmission was pretty worn and the ball cup was totally missing, replaced those and then Aaron and Matt showed up to help. We finished the rear sway bar, Aaron has the rear drop link bushings down to a science. Got the 2.0 liter heat exchangers and 2 liter banana muffler installed with new gaskets. Went to fire up the car after replacing all the pushrod tube seals and finding a set of the retaining wires and installing them and there was no compression, I figured since I didnt change any of the geometry it would be fine. Nope! So I adjusted the valves in about 20 minutes and it fired right up. Way quiet, I like it. Adjusted Aarons valves for him and now his is quiet too. The valve train is anyway. Went to SuperMex for dinner with a bunch of the guys and a few women too. It was a good productive day. The car handles so much better now. I just need to replace the tires on it and it should be ready for a little AX time.
