Here are pictures of the repairs to my car after a bonehead decided to try to run over me at a red light. I was stopped at a redlight and he was stopped behind me in his giant pickup truck. The light turned green but there is another light in front of it that was still red. There were cars in front of me packed in to the other light so noone moved, well except for Mr. Cell Guy behind me. He saw the light change and apparently was so wrapped up in his phone call that he did not notice that the other cars did not move. BAM, he plows into me. There goes a near perfect chrome bumper and everything behind it. He wanted to just exchange names and said he would write me a check for the damages. I don't think he realized how expensive it would be to repair, frankly I thought it would be around 2K but it ended up closer to 6. Anyway the police were called and after going round and round with his insurance about the value of the car they finally came through with the money.

The body shop guy did a good job but was tough to deal with. There were a number of delays, some were cause by parts delays, some by me by changing my mind on making other repairs but most of the time was lost due to problems internal to the body shop. It took a lot of phone calls but it eventually got done. While working on it the guy found that the trunk floor was rusted out. The insurance cmpany paided for the labor and I paided for the part as it really wasn't related to the crash.

It addition to the crash repairs I had them replace the mirrors on the car with a set of stock ones. The old ones were these black plastic things that didn't really go well with the rest of the cars styling. The PO drilled holes to mount them so they had to be filled. I also had a rust bubble repaired by the antenna. Unfortantely it looks like is is starting to come back now.
