My first engine build

For the last 4 years I've been accumulating new and used parts to build a spare motor for the 914. I've got most everything needed to start the build of the engine.

The engine that I plan on building will be a stock 2.0L EFI. D-Jet with Euro pistons, stock cam. Will have new MPS, a rebuilt ECU, New TPS, new Fuel Injectors, new fuel rails, new (used) crankshaft, mic'd and polished. New rebuilt rods, new clutch disc, new pressure plate, new oil cooler, new trigger points, new cap and rotor, new condenser, new points, all new sensors.

As of now I'm about to start the building process of the lower end. I'm just waiting on parts to come back from being balanced. I will get the lower end build and seal up the case. I have to wait on my heads to come back from being worked on. So far I have powdercoated all the engine tin (satin Black), including the flappers, refurbished the fan housing, installed anodized fuel lines going from one fuel rail to the other mounted to the top of the fan housing to eliminate the fuel line from laying across the top of the engine. I'm putting anodized fuel lines in the front and rear of the engine compartment. I've recovered the alternator harness. In the process now of building new fuel rails, I've puchased 2 feet of fuel rail extrusion and will build the new fuel rails from this.

I will be posting pics of the process
