Attached ImageAttached ImageAttached ImageI just purchased this , my first 914, with the intent on a quick easy daily driver. Didn't want to spend a whole lot of beans, as recently dicorced, blah, blah blah. This car has sat for 10 years, but is quite sound. 2.0 converted to Webers, very light on the tin worm, faded black paint with some nice accessories.
The Mahles are all painted gold but the spare, a ugly yellow with polished lip. Seller thought it was a yellow car once. Dig in & find out it's aBumble Bee Can Am.
I am a car guy, I'm not some shyster used car salesman. My problem is almost morals. Do I forge on, get it running & do a light cosmetic paint job to it, or should I offer it up to someone who will really go through it? I can't detmine value, any help might push me one way or the other.
Are the Pelican front spoilers true good copies of the original front spoiler? How tough is it to convert back to stock fuel injection? It has rotten 205/50's on it & they look neat, but should I go back to the 195's that I beliecver were stock? Any & all serious advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
