Hot Tub Time Machine @ 36:21 ....same one you saw Ferg? This one looks Phoenix Red and does not have a reflector. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i171.photobucket.com-8357-1280807388.1.jpg) Yeah, that must be it, with the snow on it I thought it was white... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) How this movie didn't win an oscar is beyond me. Great Movie! |

I can’t believe nobody has seen this teener sighting since it first aired in 83. Does anybody remember a popular sitcom called Alice? Season 7 episode 14 where Mel (the obnoxious shortorder cook) buys the Porsche of his dreams for $20. You can find it on Amazon prime videos to buy $1.99. That’s what I call a cheap laugh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

They show five hours of Hawaii Five O on Fridays in Los Angeles.....plenty of 914's in lots of episodes....watching "Double Exposure" episode and a red '73 is getting lots of air time....really fun to see one of our babies in perfect "new" condition acting like a "normal" car.

One of my favorite shows, UFO, where somehow the aliens figure out how to cram 3 adults into the 914. It can be done. Betty and I, along with a friend, spent a whole day in her 914 at a rally. But you have to be really good friends. Or you will be when you arrive |

But you have to be really good friends. I got you all whipped... My first 914 was a rusted 70 1.7 when I was 17. A friend and I were driving it around at Christmas break in light snow, sliding everywhere, topless! Suddenly we get nailed by a snowball and we chased down the subversives. Turned out to be a teenage "sleep-over, slumber party" with 7 nubile young females of breeding age... They liked the idea of sliding around in a sportscar, in the snow as well. One girl on my friend's lap, one between us, three sitting on the targa bar with their legs draped over our chests, and two sitting on the upper windshield support standing on our thighs. We were up to our necks in ... 9 people! Lightweight people but 9 none the less. Bottomed the 914 out like nothing else. I actually drove around with them all of them in/on the car. Very slowly, no sliding at all... Didn't get anywhere with the girls but did make a good memory. |

Maybe six, memories of my freshman year are a bit, erm, hazy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
