Thanks fella's. They are both standard 52mm gauges (as are typical small-form VDO's). The AFR gauge (AEM) uses the two-post method (dimensionally different than VDO I would venture to guess) and is the easier mounting method. The CHT gauge from Speedhut uses a threaded barrel nut and is less 'fun'. If one of you want to be a test pilot and send a VDO gauge I'd be happy to take a stab at it and see what it would take.

To get the red contraption to work I had to add another contraption between that and the blue contraption to get enough CFM. It worked (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have VDO voltmeter and oil pressure gauges sitting on the bench. PM me an address and I'll ship them out.

Changed the driver side window out thanks @Bstone . Waiting on a simple custom harness from Perry @Ironhillsrestoration for my new alternator thanks @mepstein . Want to get it back together in a week or so and then start it and jockey it around in the garage to make room for ice fishing gear and all the heat exchanger projects.

After a short drive I'm kicking myself for not installing the shifter the day I bought the car. It really made a big difference in a good way, I need to do a slight adjustment on 1st to 2nd shift.

Yesterday, I removed the rear valence, bumper, and tail lights in order to start sanding/priming.

I installed a new 914 Rubber bushing in the rear shift rod
of my car.. Guess that means I did "some" work on the car this year..

With this talk about the dash gauges, this is what I did on my early '71 way back in the late '70's as I wasn't going to let anyone smoke in the car so didn't need an ashtray. VDO had a mount that fit perfectly in the space. This would be an option but I have no idea if they still make that piece.Attached Image

I had one of those MANY years ago, the problem was you had to mount the rubber housing then push the gauges into place. Getting to the back of them after that was a 'challenge'. Wish I still had it though...

Really dumb because I loved my 930S wheel, but I installed a 993 RS steering wheel to go with my 993 RS cams.
And of course nothing is easy. Half the screws stripped trying to get it off the 993 hub. Had to drill out the rest. The 911 gods were pissed off that I was putting it in a 914.
