Another Durango C&C (yesterday).

great shot.

from that angle the indicator lens and pinched front fender suddenly look like ...........
a modern porsche. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Just needs a Porche Emblem on the hood (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

i've recovered from getting poked in the head by a stick in sub freezing conditions.
my brain has warmed up after my aav failed during start up.

have processed solution.

remove emblem from front trunk lid of modern porsche.

all is well. the 914 is ground zero for all that is legit.

Didn't drive one but today but was at the 50th anniversary party for the Schonesland region of the PCA in West Des Moines, and though there were many very nice examples such as a 959, 918, CGT, 911 S/T, and Singer Turbo (yes, we were actually in Iowa!) there were several VERY nice 914's and the 914 was WELL represented!!

spring has arrived about 6 days early.

got up at sparrows fart and hopped into it.

race track was devoid of SUV soccer mums. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
spent about an hour and a half getting intimate with the 1.8.
even got it into 4th and hit 60 (don't tell the rozz).

i can look forward to 3 months of nice driving before the infra red, ultra violet summer makes any venture out in the 914 worse than 3 weeks sunbaking at chernobyl. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Katie and I had a great time this past Saturday at Germanfest Knoxville at First Lutheran Church. They had a car show featuring German cars, so we brought the 914! Katie wore her drindl that she bought in Austria when she studied abroad. The food and music were excellent and we are looking forward to next year's festival!

Yes, I was happy to find this as I had feared the worst.

Thanks for the advice on the cone screw. Just placed an order for the OEM cup bushing and new cone screw.

93 days after my unplanned visit to the greenery on the St Gouéno hillclimb in France, the car is finally back together, repaired, repainted and realigned... Now on to the next event next Sunday.
