Adjusted the valves on my Grasshopper, only one exhaust valve on #1 cylinder was off by 0.001".
Changed the fuel filter while I was there.

I changed the oil and both oil filters; I am not particularly fond of that job as the oil tank line is a hassle to disconnect and typically makes a small mess. But, I got it done and she now has fresh oil and filters and no leaks.

Then Sunday I took her to a small cars 'n coffee in Auburn at McGuires along with my brother who brought his Turbo S coupe. Our friend HB met us there as did one of our neighbors in his '66 Chevelle with a 383 stroker - a very well sorted car. The weather was great; we had breakfast outside. You are always welcome Chris. We have a regular Saturday Cars 'n Coffee in Folsom/El Dorado Hills that usually runs from 0700 - 1000. 2101 Vine Street, El Dorado Hills. We were there last week and it was a large crowd. We just learned about a large C 'n C in Carmichael too- but we have never been to that. Cheers. Michael (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Not on my Six, but my brother never really cared for the stock shifter lever in his Turbo S coupe. Today we installed this and it looks as if it came stock from the factory this way. He is very happy with the change. The first picture is the stock unit. Cheers, Michael (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Thanks. What took the longest was waiting for the paint to dry. I think it is still drying. If you can have it powder coated you could have it done in an afternoon. It doesn't have killer springs like the seat bases, everything comes apart and goes together easy. I used the original roll pin.

Nice job. That roll pin got the better of me when I rebuilt mine. I had to take it to a machine shop to remove it.

Drivers door had been getting difficult to open from the outside, finally wouldn't open at all, after 52 years the plastic pawl had broken. Bought the door handle repair kit from 914 Rubber and installed. Cleaned and re-lubed the striker mechanism as well as the lock tumblers on both sides. Works great!Attached Image

Finally after another year has melted by, got the 2056 back together! Waiting for the neighbors to come over and help me get it back outside by the car.
