I had a 1967 GTO, I liked that car, it was a great cruiser.

I was a little worried about that corner with a hole that size
so I cut the same corner off of one of the parts cars. Got 8 plug
welds in and around the parameter.
Sounds solid now.

Since I will not be seeing much manicured black top, more like canyon roads I made a guard for the oil lines at the front corner of the long. Should hold up to that lug wrench falling off the plumbing truck.I'll fasten it with riv-nuts and button head allens.

New personal best time on second run of the new hillclimb season at local(-ish) course. Ended the day 7th in class behind five 4wd turbo cars and a Renault Clio Sport track car. Not bad for a 51yo 914 driven by a 71yo driver! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

New Yokohama AO52 tyres (tires!) are awesome and swapping from 48mm independent throttle bodies with 440cc/min injectors to smaller 45mm ITBs with 330cc/min injectors made a heck of a difference to the torque.

It's OK, brought back good memories of my first car that was a '67 Tempest (although yours looks badged as a Lemans).

Hi Phil

The throttle bodies are from a UK company called VW Speedshop. They are 45mm with Weber IDF bolt-pattern and use a BMW TPS and VW temp sensor. The injectors are Bosch as used on Volvo V70 and others. The ecu is a DTA T2, with crankfire using trigger wheel and sensor from Dubshop in the USA. Fuel hoses are 6AN throughout.

Sorry about the messy wiring - another winter prject that didn't happen! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
