This is carrying over from another thread I had started a couple weeks ago regarding the failure of the grease gun hose that the OP of my car had used for the oil pressure sender. Here are pics. The side that was screwed into the engine case failed completely via melting. The hose simply pulled out of the metal collar when I went to remove it.
Maybe your results vary, but this is enough for me to never use a grease gun hose in this application ever again. I have many hours of cleaning ahead of me to remove the layer of oil that has covered my once clean engine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Attached image(s)

And here is the brand new SS braided hose from Chris @ Tangerine. So far so good! No leaks at all!
