Not that it matters, but a 914 limo done by Pimp My Ride would be awesome. I've even got a second tub here in Redondo Beach, less than 5 miles from their shop.

I'd tell them,

"Oh yea', my life dream is to have a full resto, steel flared, 3.6 conversion with plasma screens". Just pass on the spinners... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif)

hahah, guys this is some fun reading..
I wish I could tell them that my 914 broke down and I bought another one (a shitty one) casue I like my 914.. although I would like to be on there just to see what they do..

the ironic part is that I get my flares, 916 bumpers and stuff tomorrow.. I was ready to go for my OWN pimp trip.. but I guess i have to hold on a while longer, and maybe get a new one if this one get pimped..

trust me, I will say that I have seen some amazing cars (914) with 3.6 twin turbo and full cage (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) etc etc.. maybe they turn it into a GT2... (they give me a GT2 and let me work on my own car)

I'll let you know when I have been up there.. Talked to them again and they need to see what they can do to it and can't do.. so they have an idea.. (like someone believed that they come up with the ideas in the room just before they do it)

I used an old (VERY) recaro seat that i will use again, althouygh driving up to LA in that seat will kill me (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

Hopefully they don't do what they tend to do sometimes and decide your car is a total loss. They will then scrap it and give you a nice new Scion XB (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

Thats crap. Why would you have to be a Citizen? Now if they are going to pay you for being on the show then that could be considered "working," which would only require you to have a visa authorizing work, or permanent residency, but not citizenship.

Chances are if they do pay you it would be like $300 or something. Tell them you'll do it for free. Though they might not accept that. Either way, good luck!

This costs to fix your car would be considered earnings and therefore a taxable event for you. If you are not able to earn money in the USA, then they can't fix your car. They can not give you a "gift." Someone has to pay the tax on that.

That's why there is a problem. Sorry dude, looks like you are SOL.

There will not be a 914 on Pimp My Ride...

Second guy was straight with me.. they dont know how to deal with me not being american or elgible to work here.. So an american is an easier pick.. Fine.. I'll do my own damn car (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif)

Now its time for getting down with Project 914-X

Did you get a second car to have them pimp for you? If so, what are you doing with it? I need a cheap car to do a project I have in mind with.

Ok, back to this thread, since I know you missed it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Here is the car I am getting. I have to rush to LA tomorrow so no one else buys it. Its PERFECT!!

(here is from the other thread)

ok,
Just got of the phone with MTV (again I know)
They want me to be on the show (again), and they said they cleared the problem we had last time.. Well, now my car has fresh paint and a rebuilt top end job. Does anyone in So Cal have a car that runs (barely is fine) and takes up to much space? I am willing to pay, not more than $1000 though. It can be no interior, different colored body panels, rust, you name it. If you do let me know.

I am still curious what those guys would do to a 914.. (just not to mine ) I have to show it in LA in 3 weeks or so..

Thanks
Cris
