Exterior door handle stopped working. I removed the panel and found a piece of plastic laying in the bottom of the door. Must be apart of the assy. that pushes against the fork to release the latch. I removed the allen screw trying to get the handle off. But there is a screw with an acorn nut that turns with the nut..
can't get it free. HELP! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) |

Both are common problems.
The plastic piece can be replaced. Pelican has the part for $17.99 or so. The spinning stud is another problem but can also be fixed with a drill and a sharp bit. After you drill it out you'll have to use a 6 mm bolt and nut. If your good with a drill or have a drill press you can counter sink the bolt into the mounting tab. After you break the mounting tab send it to me and I'll fix it for you. I'm having a UPC sale on my tab fix these days. The new price is $25.00 which is a hell of a savings over the standard price.
