So my rear shocks are shot. These are supposed to be direct replacements. They are the right length and bolt dia, but the clip seats are in different places. I will have to move it to get the spring supports right. Is this SOP or should they have be placed correctly at the factory.

it sits usaully for the 914 on the next notch up, 2nd from the bottom, you can do it easily in the shade tree mechanic style with 2 flat head screwdriver, not a pain at all, on that 2nd notch with stock springs you will not even need a spring compressor..
