It's a white '74 but the VIN does not fall within the known range of LE's.

However, it has no sail vinyl and a set of mahle wheels. Could it be?

nope 1.8 originally had side vinyl (look at the annodized roll bar trim, no center console (look at the plastic tray and plastic steering wheel. We have one of those 1.8 light ivory cars in the showroom which we could convert but of course no. If the number was not in the series it was not a limited edition.!
