i have seen industrial stuff sized somewhere between a brick and a cinder block. most of the references i've seen lately are for little consumer-grade PC stuff.
there was BIG manufacturer of aluminum heat sink extrusions in the California central Valley area (Temecula...) but darned if i can remember their name after all this time... here's a Big Heat Sink currently for bid on EBay, they had several listings under 'heatsinks' ... i did a Google search using +industrial +"aluminum extrusion" +"heat sink" and got several plausible sources. companies making high-power stuff -- motor-control equipment, electroplating power supplies, bauxite processing - will have big stuff for their rectifiers... |

Jake,
Please check http://www.chtechnology.com/products/exhea...sinkstable.html It show various extrusions with size and thermal properties. A low number for degC/Watt/length, is good. I have not forgot about you. I have been busy with software for 3D fuel map for the KitCarlson EMS. I hope to be complete bench tests by next week. |
