BORLA 914 Exhaust system. Anyone have this? I'd like to see what it looks like installed. Funny it's not showing up on the Borla web site.

I'm surprised to see one of those still in a box because I think they're REALLY old. Haven't seen or heard of them in ten or fifteen years. Forgotten old stock or something.

save your money - i believe there is only a negligible amount of performance benefit to get from a stock type 4 and even the best exhaust system known for it - stick with stock. but your money into rebuild brake calipers or something.

I love this exhaust system 1) it will outlast my car, 2) the power gains were significant, 3) IMHO it looks great and 4) the exhaust note is deep and mellow.

If I remember the story correctly, Borla made 10 of these up to see how they would sell. Seems like they were made up in the late 90's. The price they were asking was close to $1k at the time. Factory 2.0 mufflers were $300 retail then. Needless to say, the price was a BIG problem.

This may be a great system (I hope so for the price) but not so sure about the seller. He became downright insulting when I offered a lower price. Insisted he'd sold eight of them and wouldn't counter; just told me to "get a clue". Not a member of this site I hope. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif)
