A while ago on American Chopper they were using a small water jet cutter. I have been trying to find info on water jet machines but the only ones I can find info on are half the size of my shop and are $300k. I know that a few list members have knowledge in this area. Do any of you know who makes smaller machines or as Mueller hinted to do you think that it was a custom unit built for them? Any info is much appreciated.

That looks exactly like the one on American Chopper. Is that really $300K?

You can buy a 1500 watt laser with a 4X4 table for 200K brand new. How thick are your parts? What is the material? Omax makes a great waterjet.

I just talked to the company that sells the one Mueller posted. That is the one OCC uses. It runs about $100k (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
I think this may be a pipe dream for at least a few more years at this point. -tony |
