It's your computer Kevin.

Check your browser's settings.
Are you using AOL (I bet so)?

ok. no, netzero sean. i've been getting this notice from spyware that there has been an attempt to change my browser settings. something to with a popup filter i think. i'll shut down, the notice will come up, i'll write down what's going on. maybe somebody here can give me some insight. the gray banner up top looks like crap too. there are not enough houses on my street to warrant us even being offered dsl. i'm stuck with dial up. tees? did you get my pm a few days ago?

Kevin,

I think you've got some malware. I fixed a system yesterday with similar problems. The bug would continually go in and change the Display properties to 16 colors and lower the resolution.

First, go in a manually reset your display properties. See if that makes a difference. Then, run this and post the results here.

HiJack This!

We'll figure out what you've got.

Keep cheking with your phone company on the DSL. We we have lived here for a few years and when we first moved here there was no DSL, and a sattelite hookup was quite costly. So I called them about something else a few months ago and they told me that DSL is now available here, I was surprised because we live out in the country outside of Amity.

paul, to show you how little i know, this is my first cut and paste. computer was set True Color 32 bit. i noticed no picture issues prior to this am. i deleted the netzero "free" trial high speed program.

You don't have permission to access /hjt/hijackthis.zip on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Sorry, my fault.

Try this:

super paul. registry mechanic found a number of problems. 26 in the control panel alone. it cleared up the picture issue. thanks so much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif). sometimes this kind of information is as important fuel injection trouble shooting.
