Some springs finally gave up the ghost after 33 years (luckily didn't happen on a vintage car tour I was on a month ago!) on my original owner '71 914. Where can I find the whole assembly to replace or maybe just the springs? Pelican search came up empty... Driver's side of course.

Brad -

Where are you located? I am in the process of tearing down my 914 to fix rust and rebuild it. I am going to need various things along the way, of course.

We are located in 914 heaven.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Redwood City Ca. 45 minutes north of San Jose and 45 minutes south of San Fran.

We dont "advertise" on here. People typically track us down when they need something.

Honestly: I'm all for supporting your local guy's. I know you have been having trouble locating some stuff but you have several 914 parts sources in TN/Ark/OK/Kentucky/Indiana.

Reminds me.. we where going to do a shop list....

I agree with you on supporting the locals! I am still working connections and finding out about who I have locally. I was hoping you were nearby, but I should have figured you'd be in CA. It's good to know you're out there though, if I need something I can't find.

Thanks!

It is the part that bolts into the door with 3 phillips screws. If you have one for the driver's side with all the springs, etc in good shape I'm interested. What is your phone numer? Tried sending you a PM but it wouldn't let me.

I had the admins turn off all the PM's and email stuff. I used to get hammered with 8-10 PM's a day and at least 10-15 emails. It is much quieter now.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Shop number is:

650-364-6234

We have plenty of nice pieces that I can sell you for a fair price.

HUmm.. Micron ring a bell ?

Brad -

You posted above that there are 914 parts places in TN. Where are they located and what's the name? I'm a long way from you guys and have never heard of a place in TN.

Thanks,
Robert
