I recently bought a vinyl cutter to do some work on my track car and some other projects. Do people in the 914 community need anything?
I've made up a porsche logo that's about 16" tall by 13" wide. Looks nice in the garage or on... well, just about anything! Here are some pictures of what I've done: |

Can you make a VW circle about 20 inches in diameter?
What is the widest you can go? Zach |

Oh, good question. I'd be putting this on a wall.

My cutter can take 24" material, but some of what I have is 15" wide. What color are you looking for Zach, for the VW logo?
The way these decals work, the vinyl has an adhesive back and is on a release liner in a big roll. The cutter is like a computerized xacto knife that cuts out the shape I want (I have to send it a vector file from Adobe Illustrator). Then I have to peel off the vinyl I don't want, leaving the final design intact on the release liner. Then I take a large piece of masking tape and apply it overtop. To put the decal on your car, or the wall, or any reasonably smooth surface, you peel the masking tape off and the vinyl pieces are stuck to that. You put it on your surface, rub the vinyl down well (and wait a little while if you've used soapy water to ensure no air bubbles), then peel off the masking tape, leaving the vinyl behind. For the graphics on my orange 944, I just layered the colors. The Jagermeister deer is first a yellow circle, then a brown circle with the sunburst cutout and then a white layer of the deer and the cross. |

Here's a video showing how I install a windshield banner (or, in this case a 944 hatch banner):

So, here's my complex pricing scheme...
16" Porsche logo and 14" VW logo - $15 each Priority mail shipping - $6 (unless you buy a whole lot!) If you buy more than 1, take a $5 discount. If you want somethething larger or smaller - contact me first to make sure I can do that size and/or have the material Colors - I currently have: black, white, red, yellow, gray, metallic silver, brown and orange I can order almost any color, but there will be an extra charge we'll have to work out. Here's what a VW logo would look like: p.s. for the VW logo, I can do that in reverse, too, depending on what you're putting it on... e.g. the white area could be a color and the black area would be whatever you put it on. |

THAT IS WHAT I WANT!
Maybe a 1970s Jeep logo too. The space I want it is 21 inches wide, and outside but sheltered. Zach |

I'm looking for a couple black decals version of the 914-6 badge found on the back of the car. Are you able to create a couple?
Also like the "Porsche" helmet visor. Can you also create one of those and if so how much? |

Can you also create one of those and if so how much? A 914-6 badge like this? For the helmet visor, it's the right curve for a Bell M4... yours might be a little different. Price is $10 - that's for either white Porsche on a black ribbon, or vice versa (just let me know which you want). How about a Lotus Logo! Sure - I found Adobe Illustrator artwork for a Lotus logo. I also have logos for Alfa Romeo, BMW, Jaguar, Corvette, Mustang, Bugatti and Ferrari. |

Do you do large lengths? I'm doing a VW pickup (caddy) and want some sort of mild body graphics... a subtle ghoasted tan on tan starsky & hatch strip, I think that would work with the lines. Yeah I know how subtle can that be!?

Yeah I know how subtle can that be!? If you gave me pretty detailed measurments, and picked out the right color, I'm sure I can do it. I can only cut 23" wide, so we might have to do it in sections. Original Positive side stripes? You mean like this? Can anyone give me the exact height? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.darrylsgarage.com-8571-1322101662.1.jpg) |
