See the "08/05/04 Beck 550 Replicars" update. Gunnar is building high end 550 replicars. I'm sure thier nice but he's putting Bergman 2.3 Type 1s in them. QUOTE ...we've used a Bergman 2.3 liter VW engine. This engine utilizes Bernie's 911 based fan. The motor is designed for 90+ octane fuel and street-play racing fun. The fun should last about 500 miles. Should be putting Jake's 2270s in them and they would be faster than the originals. Paul |

They build the car by hand, than take a piece of thrown together shit off the shelf and stick it in the car.

Bergman doesn't exactly thrill those of us in the trade in his area. Kinda like Roy, only less. The good ones sell for about 5 times as much, and hold together. What's that tell you? I wouldn't sell one of his motors to an enemy ..................... The Cap'n
