Sorry, but I'm a race fan at heart. Le Mans especially.

I hear you about the 961 and being a Le Mans fan. The 961 is great to look at and really advanced.
BUT from a racing standpoint @ Le Mans: 1970 Le Mans, Porsche 914, first in class, SIXTH overall 1986 Le Mans, Porsche 961, first in class, SEVENTH Overall  |

That's right...SEVEN! The 914-6 that won it's class was indeed a hell of a car... Top 85% finisher in that particular event. However, the 961 was a top 36% finisher in 1986...against much faster cars. 7th overall OUT OF 19 classified finishers. Had Jeff's 914 been THE class winner from 1970, that may have swayed my vote Zwartward. |
