Always been a fan on his car, ever since I saw it in Road and Track for 'best car for $15k' article....yes, his car was actually worth less than $15k in the not so distant past. |

Sorry, but I'm a race fan at heart. Le Mans especially.
961 won out for me... Jeff has plenty of other cars that would have been better. His road legal Carrera 6 springs to mind. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/media.caranddriver.com-12654-1324489941.1.jpg) |

I hear you about the 961 and being a Le Mans fan. The 961 is great to look at and really advanced.
BUT from a racing standpoint @ Le Mans: 1970 Le Mans, Porsche 914, first in class, SIXTH overall 1986 Le Mans, Porsche 961, first in class, SEVENTH Overall |

BUT from a racing standpoint @ Le Mans: 1970 Le Mans, Porsche 914, first in class, SIXTH overall 1986 Le Mans, Porsche 961, first in class, SEVENTH Overall Lets see...How many finishers were there in 1970? That's right...SEVEN! The 914-6 that won it's class was indeed a hell of a car... Top 85% finisher in that particular event. However, the 961 was a top 36% finisher in 1986...against much faster cars. 7th overall OUT OF 19 classified finishers. Had Jeff's 914 been THE class winner from 1970, that may have swayed my vote Zwartward. |

More info on Jeff's car, from the speedhunters site:
http://speedhunters.com/archive/2011/11/21...sche-914-6.aspx BTW: I LOVE the cage in his car....that's how a cage should look, going into the dash and not intruding on the cabin much. Anyone know where he got his done or the design? |
