i removed my heat exchanger a while ago to put newer ones in. both heat exchangers came off w/o any problems (whew, PB blaster rulz). 2 of the copper gasket between motor and HE fall right out (hurray gravity), but the two on the passenger side are stuck. PO followed the advice of "gluing" the copper gaskets in before install, i dunno what glue he used, its red, and i cant get the gaskets out. any words of advice?
thanks in advance |

I use a little prybar. Kinda "T" shaped with one of the legs shorter than the other. Might try one of those cotter pin pullers, or rap the gasket sharply with a hammer and a smallish screwdriver. Looks like the DPO was suckered into using red RTV, probably the worst cr*p you can use anywhere on a Porsche or VW engine. The Cap'n
