I may be selling this car in the somewhat near future, so it's "fun top" is for sale first...

It's a reproduction of the clear "Saratoga" from the 70s made by Mark here on 914 world.

As these were all basically hand made, it wasn't perfect when new, but is and was still *very* nice. I've tried to highlight all the blemishes on the top but they are hard to photograph and almost invisible when using the top for normal use.

$709.14 - local pickup only

Also note the stack of washers was my addition to fit the poor windshield rubber on this car. Those really should just be removed and the screw cut to length once fitted on the proper car.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Very nice. FYI, Interested buyers can buy a plexiglass polish/repair kit from Aircraft Spruce for very little and repair those blemishes in 1/2 hr. Plexiglass crazing is very common in aircraft.

Bring it to WCR and I'll show you how to sand and polish out the scratches.
I am still making them just in limited quantity.

Which investment is wiser?

It's in really good shape !

The '74 I'm working on came with a separate Saratoga top in addition to the
regular top, and I ran it on the '73, ...when it was still running...
At speed, the air kept every thing cool, but after a full day of driving
to Orlando and back, I fried my bald head with it. Wear a cap.

<<< just relating a funny story. Not meant to deter any one from this cool top. >>>

However; it was awesome at night ! (especially on coastal runs with a full moon
and in dense city lights of downtown).
Use it as a alternate top, reserved for those special days or nights, and it's
attraction will last.
