here goes....
get your wings and broil them in an oven until crispy. while they are cooking, take a cup of Franks Red Hot and put it in a large bowl. dump the wings in the bowl once they are done and stir 'em up. just make sure they are coated well. it is really easy and fast. you can make it more complicated but i haven't figured out why i would do that?! |

Being lazy, I use a prepared mix which comes with a plastic bag to use in baking them in the oven. Then on a foil covered cookie sheet under the broiler to crisp them up. Comes "mild" or "hot". It is called "Original New York Style Buffalo Wings". Comes in a foil pouch and is found with other seasoning mixes/gravy. Can also grill 'em.

Here's what I like to do...
Get a bag of frozen wings at the local wholesale club... Let the wings thaw. Take a ziplock back of flour. Season with salt, pepper (cayenne), and garlic powder. Pat the wings dry. Place them in the bag, inflate with air and shake. Pull out the floured wings and shake off exta flour (colander helps). Let sit for a few minutes. Deep Fry for about 15 - 18 mins at 375degees. Meanwhile make a wingsauce with about half stick of butter and about 1/2 cup of hot sauce, habanero sauce, cayenne peppa, whatever. Melt on low in a small pan. After wings come out of oil, drain onpaper towel and then brush on the sauce! Tastes like Hooters... No not those Hooters, the wings at Hooters! Regards, Karl |

Funny thing... the restaurant is okay. But I really don't fancy Hooter's wings - just a bit too acidic/bitter for my tastes... maybe too much lemon.
I'm going to try a variety of sauces, to include the one I use for ribs. -Rusty |

All of these recipies are missing the fundamental starting point:
1. Open a cold beer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) 2. Continue with recipe. 3. Have another drink. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) 4. Next recipe step. etc... Last step. DO NOT DRIVE (IMG:style_emoticons/default/MDB2.gif) |
