Last Saturday was the annual Wings and Wheels car show at the Estrella War Bird Museum (of which I am a life time member) here in Paso Robles, California. It's a nice air museum and there is now a reallly nice car museum on the grounds as well. If you ever want to stop and see it, give me a call. I'll buy lunch.
Cheers, Elliot

Coolest car there (IMHO). Bi-turbo flat head V8. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Probably the most identifiable sound of any A/C. And, I've always loved the old Studebaker's. Especially the Golden Hawk. I've seen that 51 before....Oshkosh???

The car museum is fairly small. Probably less than 50 cars but nicely done with some great examples of open wheel race cars.

Glad to see you're getting out, exploring your surroundings, attending some interesting venues, and congregating with decent folk ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

Elliott, great pics! I have been to that air museum before and like how the back two hangers have all that vintage race memorabilia and of course the race cars. I saw a turbo Offenhauser Indy engine that was on an engine stand as a display. Said in qualifying race trim it made close to 1,000 hp! That's a pretty big number for a four banger.

Next time I'm up in the wine country, I'll take you up on that lunch offer! Of course I may be too drunk from all the wine tasting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif)
