I went down to pick up some EPS surfboard blank foam today.
I saw something interesting in the shop. I was lucky to get there just before they rolled it out. I was told, it was for Honda and they do a lot of them. I saw 2 more dollys with out foam in the back. All I had was my surfboard Gopro with the fish eye. Attached thumbnail(s) |

There are a lot of automotive design studios in LA, and it looks like you stumbled across one of their suppliers. Maybe the surfer-crowd designers they have to address the American youth market are more comfortable shaping foam than clay.

Honda is just down the road My guess is they could NC cut it, spray it with a high build epoxy primer and they have a fast mock-up. |

Looks more like a new Toyota PriAss in the works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif) What Jamaican now, Mike? Here is the first. Bottom glassed, going to go flip it and glass the deck in a bit. That block of foam in the back of my truck will make 3 more. Anyone see a Ruby red 914 down at Newport today, surf was fun, getting bigger tomorrow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) No work on the cars this weekend. Just (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) , surf, shape... Attached image(s) |
