Have 73 2.0L and the heater stuff below the passenger side is off. (on heat exchchanger pipes)
Heat only comes on the driver side.
It seems to me the fan should still blow air down.

Any comments here on why nothing comes out? Thanks

Do you have a fan with a splitter and two hoses on top?

Post some pictures of the top and bottom of the engine.

If the shell is off the heat exchangers, you aren't going to get any heat on that side. The blower pushes air through the exchanger and into the long on its way to the cabin.
Even if the top hose is in place, at best you will simply be pushing engine compartment air below the engine tin.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) With the fresh air fan blowing you'll get cool air in but with no heat exchanger surrounding the exhaust then no matter how hard the hot air fan blows its going no where on the passenger side.

Get a passenger in the seat and put your mouth on the J pipe and blow like a Jon Parkoff and see if they can feel your breath. That's not going to solve anything but take pictures and post them here anyway.

Good to have you back Brunk. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
