As I mention later in the Thread brad Mayer had mentioned these may be no longer available in the future, that's why I took these on. I'm making these out of a more durable silicone, so these should last longer.

These should be ready to ship in January.

Let me know if you need any.

Wow that was quick.
I started the tooling on these, and will have them in about 4 weeks. Just working out the pricing now. Should be about $3.85 a pop. Really need to sell 100 sets to make it pencil out.

Brad Mayer came to me and said the supply has dried up and wanted to know if I'd make them for him. SO .. I started the tooling. These will also be made from a more durable silicone.

I was unable to locate the part in the 914 diagram either, so I couldn't find a part number. I trusted Brad knows what's up with these, so started the tooling.

And possibly these are drying up.

I try to get a jump on some of the stuff I have in the works as the product production takes 8-12 weeks. these are 4 weeks in with the tooling being produced now, I should be able to pull 1st articles in the next 10 days or so. So I started the thread to get these out there. With the tax laws potentially changing I needed to throw more cash at tooling as tooling will not be able to be directly written off, it will have to go on a schedule.

Anyhow these are comming. the good news is they are less expensive, and will be silicone, so they should outlast the OEMs.

I think the thing hanging down in the front under the spare tire there. They seem a bit wrong, long tubes hanging down, backwards udder nipples (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Mark, I'm in for the 3-4 of these required at the front trunk + a couple of spares. I think I've only found 1 or 2 NOS ones so far online.

Also, I'm going to PM or email you on another possible product for you for Vanagons a bit later today/tonight.

Thanx for doing these! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Let us know when they are available. One of my originals is broken off, and I would replace all on my 73, I believe I need 3? I'll count when I next take the winter cover off.

2 needed for the 914, in the front trunk. The two holes they fit are self-evident. They were also used on the 356s and 911s
