Looking to repair or replace my cracked dash. Interested in the getty dash or stock cover cap.
I was wondering who had what. How is the fit? Can you reupholster? Can you tell it's a cover cap.
If anyone can post pics. I did a search but found no real close pics on fitment.
Thanks ev (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) eryone.

On one of my 914's I bought a black dash cap. I wanted to see how well it would fit on before I glued it. I popped it on, it fit great, and I never took it off. I never did glue it. Only one person ever noticed and that was because he was looking at my ashtray and it didn't quite match. Most here would be able to notice but depending on what you are doing with the car (daily driver or show car) the cap is cheap and easy.

If you are going for the Stock look. The cap is a nice inexpensive way to go. You can hardly tell its a cap. No glue needed.

Wow that looks great!

But I have one of the plastic caps as well on mine. I started to look under it to see what was there and I decided to leave the plastic cap. It doesnt look all that bad.

+1 on the plastic cap. It's hard to tell it's not stock unless you tap on it.

Wow! I really like that. Were the holes pre-cut or did you cut them yourself? The reason I ask is I would want to use after market gauges.

Are you looking for an early or late dash pad?

I have a couple of late ones that I don't need.

One is perfect, the other has one 3/8" crack

Plus i have a Getty dash/guages, leather covered and the door panels

Good old J C Whitney had the cheapest I could find. They even had a free shipping special when I ordered, so mine was like $65 bucks. This was just last year.

The Yellow Zonker had a 911 dash. I didn't like it much but now I can't remember why. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I think it had something to do with the way if reflected in the wind shield?
