Hi,

I started installing these today:

http://www.elephantracing.com/suspension/m...frontmounts.htm

and while I'm not done yet, when I installed the rear set (in the cross bar) they were VERY tight to get in there. Is that right? I see how the instructions say not to torque the bolt to the car until the a-arm is in and all is aligned, and I haven't done that yet, but even just getting the mounts in there (no a-arm) was quite tight.

Is that normal?

Photo... On both sides, the shiny gold part is super tight going into the aluminum cross member.

And by "super tight" I mean I needed a hammer. Hammers are good, right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Do a search. I had the same problem with mine. Is that the 911 front crossmember?

Ah, hadn't seen this:

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...trol+Arm+Mounts

That's somewhat helpful. I guess it's often tight. Although your cross member looks bent a little so you couldn't fit any washers in there. Mine are in there, just very tight.

I think I will pull them out and grease between them so they can rotate a little easier...

Yes.
