This morning I was putting my top into my truck and forund the round bead seperating from the bottom portion of the seal. The seal is ony 2 years old. Anyone experience this? Fix suggestion or do I need to replace. My car is a garage baby so I can only assume a bad product run. Mike

I'm sure it can be reglued, but I'd like Mark (Mikey914) to weight in on the adhesive of choice. |

Replaced that seal 31 years ago with a non-factory (so shoot me) seal from AA. Never had any problems with separation. I do liberally apply glycerin to all me seals annually.
Still, curious as to what Mikey might offer. |

Still, curious as to what Mikey might offer. Thanks for the advice on the clycerin I'll try it. I have bought several items from AA and have had no problems with thier products. My concern is that I am retired and want to make all my dollars count so if I can save/repair what I got it is a great advantage to me. Now that I have the time to work on my car I have to live on a budget. Thanks Mike |

Well, for bonding superglue works very well. You can get the control gel and put a thin line where it's needed. Apply just enough pressure to bod it so it's not collapsed and bonding parts you don't want.
Shoot some pictures I'd like to see what's going on here. Also, where did you get the seal? -Mark |
