I recently bought a '74 1.8 and the shocks on all 4 corners are shot. The car is in good shape with only 55k miles from new, and I would like to keep it relatively stock. It is my understanding from reading old threads on this forum that the factory would have fit my car with Boge inserts. I see that Pelican lists Boge/Sachs strut inserts, but then also says "Brand: Sachs":

PMB shows Boge strut inserts and doesn't say anything about Sachs:

Are these strut inserts the same? If not, which one would be the correct replacement for original in my car?

Andrew

Boge and sachs have been under/owned by the same company for awhile. It may be that they were not originally, so older stuff may say just boge for shocks or sachs on a clutch, but the newer stuff will say both. Since 2011 both are owned by zf which also owns lemforder which also owns elastimetal.
