In preparation for Doc's clinic, I figured I may as well try to locate and rectify the oil leak coming from the front of the engine. So I got a new seal from Chris to have on hand. Well upon removing the shroud, I found that it wasn't the front main seal at all, but the leak was coming from the oil cooler seals (appears to be the upper) and some also from my oil sender plumbing... leaking oil can be seen accumulated on top of the filter.
So, the question is...do I go ahead and change the seal anyway??? There's maybe 6k miles on this engine. ![]() |

Another for leaving it alone. Why remove a seal that does not leak and take a chance that the new one will leak? Then you have to remove the engine again.
