Hey everyone, I've finally taken some detailed pictures of the 73' 1.7 I bought in May. There's ALOT of photos so I've pasted a link the slideshow below.
http://s1364.photobucket.com/user/razorbac...14%20All%20Pics I'm fairly new to working on 914's and was hoping to join everyone at the rally in September but we had a few things pop up and now I wont be there. So I thought I'd post these pics for everyone to check out. Not as exciting as combing through it in person, I know. Anyways, take a gander and let me know what ya think. It was bought in California three years ago and driven back to Arkansas. Still have the blue plate in the trunk. BTW - the only thing I've been able to do on the car so far is replace rear calipers and brake lines....and a half-dozen clutch cable adjustments (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Also while taking these pictures today i noticed my rear passenger caliper is leaking fluid- Ugggg - thought I had everything tight tight tight. |

Nice score! I like the wheels painted black with the beauty rings.
I noticed in your picture that your rubber between rear window and engine hood looked like mine before I replaced with new one from 914 rubber. Miley is a good guy to work with. http://shop.914rubber.com/Engine-deck-lid-seal-914EDLS.htm |

Thanks! I'm really liking the blue and I've considered repainting it Olympic when the time comes. But for right now underneath that blue is a coat of yellow, and underneath that yellow is the original color = Marathon Blue Metallic. |

New rubber is near the top of my to-do list since all that cracked rubber is keeping me from driving it on rainy days. I'd also found a DIY tech article on how to make the targa-to-front-windshield rubber seal....basically combining to pieces of aftermarket rubber to re-create the oem rubber seal. Maybe Miley will have something even better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

I don't and I have new seals! http://shop.914rubber.com/New-914-Main-tar...tion-914MTS.htm |
