These are chrome, but a PO painted them gloss black when they painted the car (the 'BB'). They didn't appear to be prepped properly, so the paint started peeling.
The front also had some bondo that also was peeling off. Since I was more concerned with mechanical aspects rather than cosmetics at the time, I removed what flaking paint I could easily, then gave them a quick coat of Blue Magic (# 970) Textured Rubber Coating. The front needs a little pounding session in the middle section to straighten it out, but I think a good hammer and dolly man could make it right without too much effort. It will probably need stripped and re-chromed, or it could be stripped and re-painted if desired (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) All mounting holes are aligned with good threads and no torn or ripped bumper-top holes. They are also fairly rust free (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Asking I need to downsize so a lot of inventory has to go ... Well, enough talk ... The rear appears to be fairly rust free as well, and pretty straight with no major dents. There are a couple of small dents, should be easy to straighten these.
Again, all mounting holes are aligned with good threads and no torn or ripped bumper-top holes. Rear: Rear of rear: Well, there you go ... LMK if you are still interested ... |
