The dash in my -6 was blue. The one in the off-road car is green.

Anybody have insight as to how and why the dashes all have different colors?

If you mean under-dash, I think they just used whatever paint was left over in the guns since it was out-of-sight.

All seven of my cars had a dash frame that was a different color. Wonder if we'll ever know why.

I thought I was dealing with a wrecked car & replacement dash when I stripped my '70 six years ago and found a blood orange dash on a white car. I had no idea this was a common occurrence. Boy do I feel better now.

Thanks Eric!

They were painted with whatever color was left in the paint guns at the end of the day, then thrown on a big pile.

The guys in the assembly line just picked whatever was on top of the pile ...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Thought that someone messed themselves up pretty good in my yellow car when I found the dash painted orange.

A better and more educated idea of what I said.
Hey Eric. Is there an actual thread on the new project that I missed? Or is it bits and pieces of teases?
